Provisional Race License Application Procedure:

  • A fully completed NASA medical form must be on file for ALL NASA licensed competition drivers.

  • The provisional license application must be submitted in advance. The license application can be sent along with the normal registration forms for any NASA-VA event.

  • NASA-VA will be providing at no charge competition vehicle inspections for both new cars and those needing annual inspections. This will be available at all NASA-VA events.

  • Competition Vehicle logbooks will be issued upon inspection of the vehicle by a NASA approved inspector. There is currently no fee for a log book.

  • There is a fee collected by NASA-VA to cover the costs of evaluating you at the track. This fee is in addition to the normal fees for track time in HPDE. You will be evaluated during an Advanced session and will be given additional racing instruction as part of the evaluation. The fee is currently $50.00.

  • NASA National requires a $50.00 fee to process your competition license application. This fee goes to NASA HQ. It must be submitted in advance of getting your provisional license for all new applicants.
